    Pain is really relative. Everyone has a different pain tolerance. However, we are not going to joke with you - it really hurts. Just not much. Some compare it to the "feeling of a hot scratch". But people wont come back for tattoo after tattoo if it hurts that much. Most of us dont get hurt, but the beauty of the tattoo and the pride that comes with wearing it far outweighs the pin stick here and there.How about using some kind of anesthetic cream? Such products are really not recommended.

  • How Much Is It Going to Cost?

    When it comes to tattoos, you get what you pay for. Yes, there are many people who get tattoos for a very small fee. But look for quality and be prepared to pay for it. Never bargain over the price of a tattoo. This is disrespectful to the artist. Think of it this way: its a work of art that youll wear for the rest of your life.

  • Should I Tip My Tattoo Artist?

    Tipping is a very nice gesture. But there are no real hard and fast rules for tipping.

  • What Should I Get? And Where?

    Its all a matter of personal taste. You can get whatever you want and whatever your artist is willing to do. You can choose a painting from the wall or have them create a custom piece just for you. The only limit is your own imagination. As for where you should do it, just keep in mind what you do at work and what social circle you are in. You may want to place your tattoo somewhere where it can be easily hidden by regular clothing.

  • What Is the Best Time of Year to Get a Tattoo?

    While you can get a tattoo at any time of the year, your skin is much more exposed in the summer due to swimming, sunbathing, and just more exposure to the elements. Winter time is really the best time for a tattoo.

  • Is It OK to Get a Tattoo if Im Sick?

    Getting a tattoo when your immune system isnt at 100% isnt the best idea. Youll need your strength and white blood cells to heal the tattoo, and your body wont be able to do that if its already fighting viruses and bacteria. Not to mention, its very imprudent to bring your disease into a tattoo studio and risk passing germs on to others, especially your artist. If you have an appointment, call and reschedule until you feel well again.

  • Where Can I Find Pictures of Tattoos?

    If youre getting a tattoo, especially as an expression of your personality, why would you want the same tattoo as someone else? Instead, find other images of what youre looking for and let your artist draw a custom design for you. Example: If you want to get a tattoo of a penguin standing on a glacier, find real photos of penguins and glaciers. If you want a blue rose tattoo wrapped around a cross, find images of real roses and crosses that you like. If the images dont show exactly what you want, just take them to your artist to use as a guide and tell them what changes you want to make to the original images. A true artist will gladly accept the challenge of creating an individual work.

Unfortunately I chose to get a tattoo from Ricardo Hernandez while traveling through the state, not realizing that Arizona doesn't require any kind of licensure to practice, giving me no recourse. He annihilated my tattoo. Blurred, uneven, and horrendously done. When I washed off the extra ink and saw what a horrid job he had done, I was already back out of the state. I contacted him and sent him pictures of the damage he caused, and he said to come in so he could fix it. First, I would never allow that man to tattoo me again, and second, when I told him I lived multiple states away and wanted a refund at minimum, and for him to consider paying for the cover-up work I'll need done to truly make things right, he chose to ghost me, never again responding to my calls or texts. The man is truly unprofessional and should be banned from providing tattoos anywhere until further training is completed. From what I've seen, the rest of the shop and artists seem to be pretty top notch, but I'd never get a tattoo from someone unlicensed again, and honestly would not have even considered it had I known the state requires nothing of it's artists. I cannot convey how disappointed I am in this man and his lack of ethics.

I suggest my friends and family here if they ever want a tattoo but also just remember every tattoo artist has their own style and make sure you talk to your tattoo artist a bit and check out their work before you get a tattoo and blame it on them.

Went there for hoop nose ring problem and Ci Ci (not sure how to spell her name) not only explained and showed me several different nose ring style/options to best fit my particular nose piercing, she totally helped me unscrew the messed up hoop I was wearing and she even put on my new nose ring for me. Unfortunately I chose to get a tattoo from Ricardo Hernandez while traveling through the state, not realizing that Arizona doesn't require any kind of licensure to practice, giving me no recourse. He annihilated my tattoo. Blurred, uneven, and horrendously done. When I washed off the extra ink and saw what a horrid job he had done, I was already back out of the state. I contacted him and sent him pictures of the damage he caused, and he said to come in so he could fix it. First, I would never allow that man to tattoo me again, and second, when I told him I lived multiple states away and wanted a refund at minimum, and for him to consider paying for the cover-up work I'll need done to truly make things right, he chose to ghost me, never again responding to my calls or texts. The man is truly unprofessional and should be banned from providing tattoos anywhere until further training is completed. From what I've seen, the rest of the shop and artists seem to be pretty top notch, but I'd never get a tattoo from someone unlicensed again, and honestly would not have even considered it had I known the state requires nothing of it's artists. I cannot convey how disappointed I am in this man and his lack of ethics.
