  • How Much Is It Going to Cost?

    When it comes to tattoos, you get what you pay for. Yes, there are many people who get tattoos for a very small fee. But look for quality and be prepared to pay for it. Never bargain over the price of a tattoo. This is disrespectful to the artist. Think of it this way: its a work of art that youll wear for the rest of your life.

  • Should I Tip My Tattoo Artist?

    Tipping is a very nice gesture. But there are no real hard and fast rules for tipping.

  • What Should I Get? And Where?

    Its all a matter of personal taste. You can get whatever you want and whatever your artist is willing to do. You can choose a painting from the wall or have them create a custom piece just for you. The only limit is your own imagination. As for where you should do it, just keep in mind what you do at work and what social circle you are in. You may want to place your tattoo somewhere where it can be easily hidden by regular clothing.

  • What Is the Best Time of Year to Get a Tattoo?

    While you can get a tattoo at any time of the year, your skin is much more exposed in the summer due to swimming, sunbathing, and just more exposure to the elements. Winter time is really the best time for a tattoo.

  • Is It OK to Get a Tattoo if Im Sick?

    Getting a tattoo when your immune system isnt at 100% isnt the best idea. Youll need your strength and white blood cells to heal the tattoo, and your body wont be able to do that if its already fighting viruses and bacteria. Not to mention, its very imprudent to bring your disease into a tattoo studio and risk passing germs on to others, especially your artist. If you have an appointment, call and reschedule until you feel well again.

  • Where Can I Find Pictures of Tattoos?

    If youre getting a tattoo, especially as an expression of your personality, why would you want the same tattoo as someone else? Instead, find other images of what youre looking for and let your artist draw a custom design for you. Example: If you want to get a tattoo of a penguin standing on a glacier, find real photos of penguins and glaciers. If you want a blue rose tattoo wrapped around a cross, find images of real roses and crosses that you like. If the images dont show exactly what you want, just take them to your artist to use as a guide and tell them what changes you want to make to the original images. A true artist will gladly accept the challenge of creating an individual work.

I’ve gotten all of my piercings here and they have all healed beautifully (by both Karissa and Carissa) They were both incredible and explained step by step how to take care of my piercings until healed. I have also gotten most of my tattoos done here (a few at Anchor Rose) and same results. I have loved the results every time. I cant wait to drive back up to NorCal and go back to this shop! I never got a tattoo before in my life so I didn't know what to expect. I took a picture of what I wanted to the tattoo artist and I ended up with Chris. He told me what I get from him and gave me a good price for the tattoos I wanted on my arms as he customized the idea I wanted for my tattoos. By the time I got them and the month after that, Chris knew a lot what I had to do to make sure they heal properly. He even offered to give them touch ups for free if that was needed which wasn't needed as they turned out great. I got what I wanted and it was thanks to this business and artist. If you are looking for a good tattoo artist, go see Chris at Avenue Tattoo and tell him that Chad with the Egyptian Eyes sent you.

I've gotten 5 piercings here and now will not go to anyone except Karissa. She makes sure you're comfortable (as well as the rest of the super nice and cool staff) and is very honest about your anatomy and what will and won't look good. She's talked me out of a few piercings and recommended others instead. I've absolutely loved what shes recommended instead and know they look way better than what I wanted originally! I'll definitely be going to Avenue for a long time and 1000% recommend it.

I highly recommend this shop. When I walked in everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. I’ve never had a piercing before, and to be honest they freaked me out. Karisa was AMAZING, I was in and out, felt little to no pain, she made the experience worth having. I’m extremely happy with my results.

Needed help putting earring back in after I got an MRI. The piercer was so awesome and helpful and only charged me $25 for two new pieces of jewelry and to put in 4 earrings. I also have some small tattoos from here a few years ago and they’re doing well too!
