    Pain is really relative. Everyone has a different pain tolerance. However, we are not going to joke with you - it really hurts. Just not much. Some compare it to the "feeling of a hot scratch". But people wont come back for tattoo after tattoo if it hurts that much. Most of us dont get hurt, but the beauty of the tattoo and the pride that comes with wearing it far outweighs the pin stick here and there.How about using some kind of anesthetic cream? Such products are really not recommended.

  • How Much Is It Going to Cost?

    When it comes to tattoos, you get what you pay for. Yes, there are many people who get tattoos for a very small fee. But look for quality and be prepared to pay for it. Never bargain over the price of a tattoo. This is disrespectful to the artist. Think of it this way: its a work of art that youll wear for the rest of your life.

  • Should I Tip My Tattoo Artist?

    Tipping is a very nice gesture. But there are no real hard and fast rules for tipping.

  • What Should I Get? And Where?

    Its all a matter of personal taste. You can get whatever you want and whatever your artist is willing to do. You can choose a painting from the wall or have them create a custom piece just for you. The only limit is your own imagination. As for where you should do it, just keep in mind what you do at work and what social circle you are in. You may want to place your tattoo somewhere where it can be easily hidden by regular clothing.

    While you can get a tattoo at any time of the year, your skin is much more exposed in the summer due to swimming, sunbathing, and just more exposure to the elements. Winter time is really the best time for a tattoo.

    Getting a tattoo when your immune system isnt at 100% isnt the best idea. Youll need your strength and white blood cells to heal the tattoo, and your body wont be able to do that if its already fighting viruses and bacteria. Not to mention, its very imprudent to bring your disease into a tattoo studio and risk passing germs on to others, especially your artist. If you have an appointment, call and reschedule until you feel well again.

  • Where Can I Find Pictures of Tattoos?

    If youre getting a tattoo, especially as an expression of your personality, why would you want the same tattoo as someone else? Instead, find other images of what youre looking for and let your artist draw a custom design for you. Example: If you want to get a tattoo of a penguin standing on a glacier, find real photos of penguins and glaciers. If you want a blue rose tattoo wrapped around a cross, find images of real roses and crosses that you like. If the images dont show exactly what you want, just take them to your artist to use as a guide and tell them what changes you want to make to the original images. A true artist will gladly accept the challenge of creating an individual work.

There were so many boys in their unit and I loved them all. My son made it home but part of him died on that battlefield too. She was very kind and informative, and walked me through the whole process of removing them to help ease the anxiety. She made it super painless. 100% recommend!!

I would not recommend anyone get a piercing and/or buy jewelry here. I do not think the woman I worked with was very knowledgeable. I came in to exchange my labret stud for a lip ring. I asked the girl what size she would recommend, and she helped me change the pieces. Two days later, my lip was swollen and in pain because my lip ring was much too tight. I came back in to hopefully exchange the piercing. Because I was told that it would fit, I also assumed that the piercer would have noticed that the lip ring was too small for my lip when they exchanged the piercings. However, I guess that’s not something that they know. She eventually told me that they do not have a size big enough for me there, so they could not do an exchange or a refund. I feel like when they exchanged my piercing, she should’ve just let me know that it wasn’t going to fit or look slightly too small. In hindsight, I wish I would’ve just gone back to HTC. If anyone is looking for a place, I would recommend them instead. I lost $40 bucks on a lip ring that hurt, and now I still have to buy a bigger one—a waste of money. Do not come here if you have big-ish lips.

Ben Porter is amazing. I first met Ben when I accompanied my younger brother to get a tattoo. He was so nice and accommodating. I loved that both times my brother was tattooed by Ben, he had Him move the placement with the stencil multiple times and Ben never made him feel like an inconvenience. He gets that he’s putting something permanent on you and wants to make sure it’s exactly what you want and placed exactly where you want. You’d think that would be the norm, but sadly, I have been to other shops that turn their nose up and act irritated when you ask them to move the placement, change the size, etc, so it was awesome to see Ben care about your wants and needs. I went in for my first tattoo with Ben last night and it was the best tattoo experience I’ve had. As mentioned before, Ben was kind, accommodating, takes his time to make sure he’s getting exactly what you want with the drawing, makes sure you’re comfortable during the tattooing, and is super personable/humble/easy to talk to. And my tattoo he did (wildflowers) is my favorite tattoo I’ve had thus far. I felt more relaxed here while receiving tattooing than I do getting my nails done. He has gained life long customers from me and my family. I am already thinking of the next tattoo I want him to do for me. Thank you Ben !

Ben is an AMAZING artist!!! He's done three tattoos for me and two were cover ups of old tattoos. His line work and shading is off the charts! I asked for a military eagle tat the artest asked to add a couple things and I agreed. It looks exactly like the one I asked for and done even better with the 2/7 fox 1st marine division. There were so many boys in their unit and I loved them all. My son made it home but part of him died on that battlefield too. He also did a serenity tree altered with ideas because I'm small and there's little to work with. THANK YOU THANK YOU well done 6stars if I could give it

Came here today to get both nostril piercings removed after only having them for a week or so. The shop that had done them originally pierced them super wrong, and Sarah was SO helpful! She was very kind and informative, and walked me through the whole process of removing them to help ease the anxiety. She made it super painless. 100% recommend!!

I would not recommend anyone get a piercing and/or buy jewelry here. I do not think the woman I worked with was very knowledgeable. I came in to exchange my labret stud for a lip ring. I asked the girl what size she would recommend, and she helped me change the pieces. Two days later, my lip was swollen and in pain because my lip ring was much too tight. I came back in to hopefully exchange the piercing. Because I was told that it would fit, I also assumed that the piercer would have noticed that the lip ring was too small for my lip when they exchanged the piercings. However, I guess that’s not something that they know. She eventually told me that they do not have a size big enough for me there, so they could not do an exchange or a refund. I feel like when they exchanged my piercing, she should’ve just let me know that it wasn’t going to fit or look slightly too small. In hindsight, I wish I would’ve just gone back to HTC.
